Introduction to Aftermarket (AUTM 1003)

The automotive aftermarket comprises many diverse and unique businesses and is one of the most significant, yet least understood, sectors of the Canadian economy. In this course, students are introduced to this vast industry and investigate its size, methods of operation, business practices and challenges, with a focus on the traditional channel for product distribution. Students also examine the proliferation of products and services offered in this industry. In addition, students discuss trends, issues, job and career opportunities, as well as the industry's role in sustaining access to Personal Electro-mechanical Mobility (PEM).
