Six ways to register

Register online

Forget the lineups or waiting on the phone...you can register as of August 4, 2009 for all fall courses using web registration

To REGISTER ONLINE
You require a BANNER STUDENT ID NUMBER and a valid Credit Card

To Find a Course:
Use the KEYWORD SEARCH and enter a keyword (e.g. photography)
or choose from the list of college programs listed under CERTIFICATES & CREDENTIALS or pick a course directly from COURSE CATEGORIES

Hovering over a course will give you a brief description
Clicking on a course will show you more detailed information (including pre-requisites and registration restrictions)
The link to the CLASS SCHEDULE is located at the bottom of this page.
Click on the CLASS SCHEDULE and available class sections will be displayed.

Click on the class section you are interested in taking (You can only chose one). Select ADD TO CART and your Shopping Cart with the selected section will be displayed. To add more courses, simply click on another CATEGORY or CERTIFICATE link, locate the course, and select a section from the CLASS SCHEDULE.
When you are ready to register, select the CHECKOUT at the bottom of your shopping cart. You will be asked to log into Banner to complete the registration process.

To Register:
Enter your BANNER STUDENT ID NUMBER in the USER ID field
Enter your PERSONAL IDENTIFICATION NUMBER (PIN).
If you have never logged in before, your PIN will be your date of birth in the format of YYMMDD
Select the class section(s) you wish to register in and click REGISTER

PLEASE READ THE REGISTRATION SCREEN CAREFULLY.
If the registration is successful, the section will say WEB REGISTERED.
YOU ARE NOT REGISTERED if this message is not displayed.
PRINT THIS SCREEN for your records.
Click ACCEPT AND PAY (registration is not considered complete without payment)
Enter your credit card information.
If the confirmation of payment appears, you are done!
EXIT from Banner (link is on the top right of your screen)

It is recommend that you find the class location and confirm there are no changes before the class starts by checking your "Detailed Timetable" on Banner.

By fax

Fax registrations are welcome 24 hours a day, seven days a week when payment is made using VISA, MasterCard or American Express or company billing. Please include: course name, code and start date; your name, address, home and business phone numbers; date of birth or previous student number and your credit card number and expiry date. Fax numbers are listed at right.

By phone

Phone registrations are welcome when payment is made using a credit card (VISA, MasterCard or American Express). Please have this information ready: course name, number and start date; your name, address, day and evening phone numbers, date of birth or Social Insurance Number (SIN) or previous student number; credit card number and expiry date. See hours and phone numbers at right.

In person

Register in person at the campus address listed at right. At the Barrie Campus, the Office of the Registrar is in Administrative Centre Building; at the Orillia Campus, it is on the lower level; at the Owen Sound campus, registration is inside the main entrance. At other locations, registrations are taken at the front desk.

By mail

Complete and mail the registration form from this calendar, enclosing a cheque payable to Georgian College or credit card information. Fill in all the details to be certain you are placed in the correct course and so that we will be able to contact you if necessary. To register for more than three courses, either photocopy the registration form or attach a separate piece of paper with all the necessary information. Mail to Georgian College at one of the addresses that you can find here: http://www.georgiancollege.ca:9110/contact/.

Company billing

To make it more convenient for you to register, provide us with a letter (or fax) of authorization and we can invoice your company. In your letter, please provide the employee's name, address, telephone number and date of birth or SIN for our records information system.

Important price note

Unless stated, the course fee listed does NOT include the text. Please ask about additional costs for texts.

Payment of fees

Full payment of course fees must be made at the time of registration, whether by web, mail, fax, phone, company billing or in person. At the Barrie and Orillia Campuses, textbooks should be paid for separately from the payment of course fees.

GST

Courses which are part of a program are GST exempt. When GST is applicable, it has been included in the course fee shown in this calendar.

Returned, post-dated cheques

An administration fee of $20 will be charged for processing returned cheques. Post-dated cheques will be returned; seats will not be held on this basis.
