Programming for the Mainframe (COMP 2070)

Large-scale mainframe computing continues to play a vital role in enterprise systems. Many of these systems run legacy applications utilizing the COBOL programming language. This course prepares students to work as an applications programmer on mainframe systems. Students learn the COBOL programming language in depth, as well as how other programing languages such as C and Java are compiled and used on Mainframe systems.
