Structural Analysis - Beams and Columns (CONS 3000)
Students are introduced to the study of beam analysis and design in various materials, including wood design. Students further investigate combined stresses and are introduced to column design and indeterminate beams. Computer design software is introduced and used for beam design. Students apply the rules of Part 4 of the National Building Code of Canada in this course.
