Social Relationships (DEVS 1013)
In this course, students discuss the responsibility of the Developmental Services Worker to teach acceptable social and sexual behaviour. Social skill development and techniques, vulnerability, sexual rights, inappropriate sexual behaviour, sexual counselling models and legal and ethical responsibilities are examined. Ethics of Touch is studied. Students investigate the prevention, recognition, reporting of, and support of individuals where abuse is alleged.
