Airline Safety and Security (FLIE 1004)
Students focus on hands-on exercises to hone the emergency skills required for the aviation industry. A variety of important communication pathways are emphasized. Students also discuss the obligation of Flight Attendants to monitor passenger carry-on baggage and their use of electronic devices, and the transportation of dangerous goods. Safety procedures on the ground, during taxi, while inflight and when in the Flight Deck along with simulated emergency evacuations, firefighting and security procedures are reviewed.
