Recruitment and Selection (HRMN 1017)

In this course, students are provided with an in-depth look at the principles, issues, trends and legislative requirements affecting recruitment and selection. Through a combination of didactic, experiential and cooperative learning techniques, students discover and understand the complexities of the recruitment and selection process. Students also explore the necessity of meeting the organization's strategic objectives, and the psychological needs of its employees. Students acquire the knowledge and skills needed to successfully identify human resources requirements to attract and retain an effective workforce and how recruitment and selection relates to the other elements of human resources management.
