Digital Forensics (NETS 1032)

Students apply the principles of computer forensics to detect, track, and analyze digital evidence. They will collect, examine and interpret data from various sources. Students learn how to answer key questions about program execution, file opening, network usage, and processes. The skills and knowledge to use multiple open-source forensic tools to track malicious activity that can be used in an investigation will also be developed.
