Profession of Nursing 1 (NRSG 1005)
This course is an introduction to nursing as a culture of caring. Beginning with a focus on self in comparison to others, students explore the meaning of lived caring experiences. Students will explore ways of nursing as caring beings and then within the role of the nurse. Students will explore ways of knowing and critical thinking as aspects of caring. As students relate to the experience of becoming a nurse, they will be introduced to the evolution of nursing.
