Legal Foundations and Professional Practice (PHRM 2004)
Students are introduced to pharmacy practice, its history, and the current role of the pharmacist and pharmacy technician in pharmacy practice. Current Canadian legislation, regulatory bodies that govern safe and ethical practice, and jurisprudence are points of focus. Students examine their role within the profession and their responsibilities for meeting legal and ethical requirements. Concepts related to professionalism are emphasized.
