Mental Health Challenges and Continuing Care (PSWR 1040)
In this course, students are introduced to cognitive disorders, mental health disorders, emotional illness and psychiatric disorders. There is an emphasis on the role of the Personal Support Worker (PSW) in relation to cognitive and mental health disorders as they affect all aspects of a person’s life. Students examine how to support clients and families in dealing with these illnesses.
