Sexual Violence (ODE) (PSYL 1007)

Sexual violence is an ugly reality and a societal concern. This course will examine the many forms of sexual violence perpetrated by individuals. Students will study sexual violence in the context of male toward female, female toward male, as well as incest and child abuse in families. Students will examine the reasons for sexually deviant behaviours (why individuals do what they do), and review relevant approaches and strategies for treating both victims and perpetrators.
