Outdoor Recreation and Environmental Sustainability (RECR 2001)

Students participate in active classroom and outdoor experiences designed to develop working knowledge and skills in natural environments, including parks and protected areas. Students explore the use of outdoor recreation as a means for achieving personal and group goals such as team building, leadership, motivation, and problem solving. Environmental impacts of recreation in the outdoors, sustainable alternatives and inclusive programs and services are examined.
