Community Development: Advocacy for Social and Economic Justice (SSWK 2006)

Students are introduced to the social change process through community development strategies and practices. Students examine community assets, gaps, and needs and apply advocacy and community development strategies to create an effective and unique project that promotes social change. Students discuss innovative and creative ways to involve individuals, groups, and communities in advocacy and social change processes. Students are introduced to and practice logic models, grant proposals, and project evaluation.
