Industrial and Commercial Electricity (TECH 0377)
This course is designed for non-electrical tradespersons who wish to augment their knowledge. Emphasis is placed on safety practices and electrical protection of motors and motor controls. Basic test equipment, purpose and testing of fuses, overloads and breakers is covered in the class and in practical labs. Ohm's law, relays, AC three phase motor control, transformers, rectifiers and diodes are discussed and demonstrated.
