Biological Sciences in Therapeutic Recreation (TREC 1014)

Students acquire a working knowledge of human form and function. Biomechanics relevant to the field of therapeutic recreation is examined. Lifespan development is explored according to the cognitive, affective and psychosocial domains, and the implications for goal development and intervention strategies. Students are introduced to common examples of medical terminology and gain an understanding of the expertise and roles within an interdisciplinary team.
